Walk Through Shadows

I walk through the shadows of trees Hearing the birds singing, Listening to the leaves rustling Pickling those petals from anywhere, Watching the distress on her face as the waterproof mascara runs. There is an incomplete decision Casting a glimpse of a shadow, In the silence of the moonlight. A message of death is delivered, Was this a warning meant for me? Calling out from the darkened land. An angel came to hold my hand, My soul was being protected in the shadow of a distant land.

My Wings

My wings spread through boldest skies, Orchards filled fields; out of sight. Birds sing wordless; heavenly cries. A voice is suddenly lifted in the night, Sound awakes me, I wonder, The resonating echoing of thunder. Sends ripples through to my heart, Making it unbearable for me. My Wings spread with pride, Soaring upto the stars. Achieving what I can. Be proud of what’s inside, The body is like a sword, Cutting through mountains. Cleaving the sky in half, Will I then be able to Spread my wings with pride.
